From 1999 I started to work as a diving professional in Holland & South Africa. From there I traveled to a lot of places, worked in different countries such as Mozambique, Greece, Sri Lanka & Egypt however I solely worked for PADI 5 star IDC centers & resorts

During the Instructor Course we will prepare you over a period of 9 days for the Instructor Exam (IE). The course is quite intensive. We will deal with all the topics required of an instructor.

You will cover information on the diving industry, the PADI system of diver education, standards, procedures and the philosophy of continuing education. There are lectures about the business side of diving and the legal responsibilities. We will teach you how to organize and execute the different PADI courses, theory as well as the swimming pool and the open water activities.

The Instructor Development Course (IDC) revised curriculum of 2021 allows us to provide a more flexible approach to candidates who have already earned a higher level in the diving industry. Below you will find the different possibilities: For PADI Divemasters: You take the Instructor Development Course, which consists of the Assistant Instructor Course (3 days) and the Open Water Scuba Instructor Course (5 days).

For PADI Assistant Instructors: If you successfully completed your Assistant Instructor Course after 1995, you may enroll directly on the Open Water Scuba Instructor Course (4 days).

Coming from other organizations: For dive guides and instructors affiliated other organizations who want to cross-over to PADI, check your possibilities by emailing us regarding Equivalent Certifications.

PADI Assistant Instructor course

A PADI Assistant Instructor is allowed to teach the knowledge development sessions of all PADI courses. Furthermore there are some programs which the AI can teach completely. In this way he or she will fulfill an important role in helping the instructor. The course takes 3 days.

During your course you will have to present at least 2 knowledge academic teaching presentations, 2 confined water teaching presentations and 2 open water teaching presentations.

Course Prerequisites voorwaarden:

  • Be a certified PADI Divemaster OR have an equivalent leadership qualification from another organization (Equivalent Certifications)
  • Be 18 years old
  • Submit proof of CPR and First Aid training within the last 2 years
  • Have medical clearance to dive, signed by a physician, not older than 1 year
  • Show proof of 60 dives and have been certified for at least 6 months

PADI OPEN WATER SCUBA INSTRUCTOR COURSE

This program is designed for Instructors affiliated with other organizations and for PADI Assistant Instructors. As instructors from other organizations already have experience in teaching diving courses, they do not need to do the full IDC.

They will learn to teach using the PADI Teaching System. For PADI Assistant Instructors it is a completion of their training. The course takes 4 days and the candidates will present at least 2 knowledge prescriptive teaching presentations, 2 confined water teaching presentations and 2 open water teaching presentations

 

 

Course Prerequisites:

  • Be a certified PADI Assistant Instructor OR be a Diving instructor from another organization (Equivalent Certifications)
  • Be 18 years old
  • Submit proof of CPR and First Aid training within the last 2 years
  • Have medical clearance to dive, signed by a physician, not older than 1 year
  • Show proof of 100 dives and have been certified for at least 6 months

PADI IINSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT COURSE

Croatia Diving: PADI EFR Instructor candidates

Emergency first response Instructor course

The EFR Instructor Course is a two-days course that covers how to teach First Aid and CPR (adults and children) to your students, divers and non-divers. You will need this certification if you want to finish the training of your Rescue Diver students yourself. The course is scheduled directly after the IE.

Course Prerequisites

  • Submit verification of EFR Provider Level Training in Primary Care, Secondary Care and Care for Children, within the past 2 years

EFR INSTRUCTOR CARE FOR CHILDREN

The EFR Care For Children course teaches First Aid for injured or ill children and infants aged 0-8 years. As of July 2005, EFR Care For Children is a mandatory component to become an EFR Instructor and is included in the EFR Instructor Program.

  • Submit verification of EFR Provider Level Training in Primary Care, Secondary Care and Care For Children, within the past 2 years

SPECIALTY INSTRUCTOR COURSES

PADI has more than 25 different specialties. To teach these to your students you have to have a Specialty Instructor license. Take a look at our list of Specialties or ask us for more information. The courses last from 1 to 3 days and the prerequisites differ from course to course.

  • Be a PADI Open water Instructor

ENRICHED AIR (NITROX) INSTRUCTOR COURSE

The Enriched Air (Nitrox) course is one of the most popular courses of the PADI Specialties. After the course you can teach students to dive with any enriched air mix between 22% and 40% of oxygen. This 2 day course consists of a theoretical part and 1 Enriched Air training dive.

 

Course Prerequisites:

  • Be a PADI Assistant Instructor or higher
  • Be a PADI Enriched Air diver or equivalent

IDC STAFF INSTRUCTOR COURSE AT CROATIA DIVERS

An IDC Staff Instructor can teach and certify Assistant Instructors independently and can teach and evaluate most parts of the IDC / OWSI program.

The course takes 8 days and starts1 day before a scheduled IDC. During this day the candidates will be evaluated for 2 presentations (theory & confined water) and will attend at least 4 lessons from a Course Director. The other 7 days the candidates will follow a complete IDC program.
